From estimate to real quote

An example gives you a range. A brief gets you a price.

Here is how your own run goes from a calculator estimate to a factory quote you can sign.

  1. Step 1 · any timeEstimate it

Run your garment through the cost calculator for an indicative ex-factory range per piece.

    Garment base×Fabric×Quantity×Complexity+Extras

  2. Step 2 · reply within 24 hoursSend the brief

Product, fabric, pieces per style, target date and whatever you have: tech pack, sketch or sample. We read it and tell you by email whether it fits, or give you an honest no.

  3. Step 3 · within 7 daysThe factory quotes

We assign the UK factory built for your product within 7 days of a qualified brief. It quotes from your tech pack and bills you directly. No commission, no markup.

  4. Step 4 · before any workOur fee, in writing

If we place your brief, our fee is quoted in writing before any work starts and is never tied to order size.

About these examples

How to read an example run.

What the numbers mean and where they come from.

No. Every run on this page is an example, not a client order. They show what a typical first UK run of each product looks like, using the minimums, lead times and cost logic we publish.

With our cost calculator: garment base price × fabric tier × quantity tier × complexity, plus extras per piece. The run total is the price per piece × the pieces in the example. Each run lists the settings, so you can repeat it in the calculator.

Open the cost calculator

Fabric price per colourway, trims, size range, sample rounds and the factory’s loading all move the number. The calculator gives an indicative ex-factory range; the factory quotes a binding price once it has your tech pack.

Allow about a week to place the brief, 2–4 weeks for sampling, then 6–11 weeks of bulk production from the approved sample depending on the product. Send the brief at least 14 weeks before your ship date.

From 100 pieces per style. Outerwear and tailoring usually start at 150, denim and activewear at 200.

The factory. It quotes and bills you directly, with no commission to us. If we place your brief, our own fee is quoted in writing before any work starts and is never tied to order size.

Not to send a brief. A factory needs one before it quotes a binding price and cuts a sample. If you don’t have one, we make a factory-ready tech pack for £79 per style in 3–5 working days.
